Teachers gave The Big Bang 2009 the thumbs up
... just some of the words teachers used to describe The Big Bang. It seems it was a great success.
During the event, teachers picked up tips on topics and activities to take back to the classroom to bring science and engineering alive - plus ideas to motivate their students to participate in next year’s competitions.
When asked how they hoped their students would benefit from the visit, 21% said “careers ideas” and 47% “an enthusiasm for and insight into the applications of science and engineering”. Well, it looks like The Big Bang met the challenge. 94% of teachers enjoyed the event ‘very much’ and 88% confirmed they’d visit again - in fact, no-one said they wouldn’t.*
