The Big Bang featuring the National Science & Engineering Competition

Have you completed a science, technology, engineering or mathematics project you're proud of? Well you could win a mega prize!

National Science and Engineering CompetitionThe National Science & Engineering Competition is open to all 11-18 year olds across the UK who have completed a project or activity in any field of science, technology, engineering or maths. If you or your team have an amazing project or invented something new then you should enter next year!

This years finialists will be invited to present their project at The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists’ and Engineers’ Fair, in Manchester on 11-13 March 2010. Here, they'll have their own stand to show-off all their hard work to over 13,000 scientists, engineers, students, parents, employers, teachers and celebrities. Plus some get to face a VIP panel in the competition finals.

There are great prizes up for grabs for both teams and individuals, including cash awards and trips abroad! Plus entrants in the senior category could even be crowned the UK Young Scientist of the Year or the UK Young Engineer of the Year. So what are you waiting for? Why not enter next year?

The CREST Awards and Young Engineer for Britain Competition

The Fair is also hosting the finals of the CREST Awards – managed by the British Science Association, and the Young Engineer for Britain Competition – managed by Young Engineers.

Having successfully taken part in their local Big Bang Fair, the finalists of both the CREST Awards and the Young Engineer for Britain Competition are also showcasing some excellent projects -and are in the running for some great prizes too. What's more, all eligible finalists from these great schemes automatically qualify for the finals of the National Science & Engineering Competition.
