The Big Bang London: 13 July 2010
The Big Bang London: is a great free day for young people to explore and celebrate the excitemnet and potential of science, technology, engineering and mathematcis (STEM).
What’s more it is the chance for your students to present their school science and engineering project to over 1,500 people including scientists, industry leaders and pupils from across London.
The Big Bang aims to excite, educate, stimulate and enthuse young people about opportunities in STEM inspiring them to follow careers in this rewarding field. It is led by EngineeringUK and developed in partnership with The British Science Association and Young Engineers with support from over 70 organisations from business and industry, government and the STEM community.
The focus of the day is on directly engaging students with STEM through hands-on activities, exciting demonstrations and inspiring interaction. As well as displays from industry and universities there will be presentations of science and engineering projects created by London pupils.
A vital element of the fair is to also give students the chance to interact with people working in STEM, from business, industry and research, to explore the careers available if they progress through STEM.
