At times during The Big Bang, the reception area will be extremely busy, with up to a thousand visitors signing-in at any one time. Reception Assistants will be instrumental in ensuring this process proceeds calmly and efficiently. You will be responsible for signing-in visitors, handing out welcome packs and ensuring all visitors – including stall holders and other Big Bang staff – are in the correct queues at the correct times. You may also be required to assist with queries from visitors about what to see and how to get to their chosen activities. A calm, polite demeanour and an ability to work on your own initiative will be essential.
Reception Assistants will also be asked to help pair up STEM Guides with visiting school groups.
