STEM Clubs at The Big Bang

The STEM Clubs Network is a nationwide network of after school clubs focusing on science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM subjects) and is co-ordinated by STEMNET. It provides schools with ideas, resources and links to enable them to set up a club, or continue running an existing club, and caters for all STEM enhancement and enrichment requirements.

STEM Clubs are invited to take part in other exciting national STEMNET initiatives, such as the ten STEM Challenges that have students tackling a range of issues relating to the London 2012 Games such as sustainability and the design of athletes’ clothing.
Keen to show schools nationally what can be achieved, these clubs have taken advantage of Young Engineers Club Network membership which gives schools access to grants, discounts and a whole compendium of resources to help enrich the Engineering experience they offer students. The Young Engineers Clubs are showcasing a wide variety of Engineering and STEM projects undertaken throughout the year. They are also competing in the Young Engineers National Club Awards with its prize fund of £4,750!
