The Big Bang South West 2012

Big Bang South West boy hand on plasma ballMore than 2000 people visited The Big Bang South West yesterday (Thursday 28 June 2012) to marvel at the fascinating science, technology, engineering and maths on display at The University of Exeter's Streatham campus.

Over 50 local and national organisations helped make the event a success, letting students know where studying science, engineering, technology and maths could take them as well as telling them about the latest developments or technology in their field.

More than 200 students demonstrated the projects they entered for competitions including the National Science & Engineering Competition and the CREST Awards. You can see the results from the day’s award ceremony below.

At the ceremony, 10 bright young sparks were even nominated to compete nationally at The Big Bang Fair in March 2013 at ExCeL, London.

Below is a list of the award-winners; we congratulate you for your great ideas and hard work!
